报告人简介:西班牙Centro Nacional de Biotecnologia教授Javier Paz-Ares为国际知名植物营养学家。主要研究方向是利用分子遗传学,研究磷饥饿条件下的植物基因调控,第一个发现在植物营养稳态中发挥作用的转录因子,研究结果多次发表在Nature Plant, Plant Cell, PNAS, Genes & DevelopmentPlant Physiol等杂志上。工作简介如下:

  1. Identification and characterisation of PHR1 and related transcription factors as master regulators of Pi starvation responses in plants. PHR1 has been the first TF known to be involved in nutrient homeostasis in vascular plants.

  2. Identification and characterisation of Phosphate Transporter Traffic Facilitator, the first endoplasmic reticulum exit cofactor discovered in plants.

  3. Discovery of the target mimicry regulatory mechanism of miRNA activity, a mechanism acting in plant Pi starvation signalling and beyond, specially in animals

  4. Identification and characterisation of SPX1 as a potential Pi sensor

  5. Demonstration of interorgan mobility of a large proportion of mRNAs, and of the impact of Pi starvation on mRNA movement
